Description
The Rumba Garland table lamp stands tall, has real presence and a sculptural quality, with a nod to the amphora of the ancients.
All the painted designs in the Rumba Collection are named after a dance. Rumba Garland takes it’s name from the tradition English dance that began in the 19th century in North England’s mill towns, a lively frolic where the dancers carry flower-covered garlands.
The lamp is hand painted with spring flowers and leaves, as ever, it can painted be in the colours of your choice to match your design scheme. Here it is shown with yellow flowers to one side, and pink on other, ideal from viewing from both sides, or used as a pair showing different colours.
Being hand painted, each table lamp is unique and a piece of collectable design. The piece is available as either a table lamp or decorative ornament.
The pieces are hand sculpted, crafted in plaster, cast in jesmonite and painted, in our studio in London.
Jesmonite is a sustainable material, harder and more durable than plaster. It is water based, making it kind to the environment.
